The Story Behind the Name
At my first job as a BCBA, I worked with toddlers just learning to talk. They couldn’t quite say “Sofia,” so it came out “Fia.” Years later, naming a practice built around meeting people where they are, there was only one name that fit.
About Sofia
I’m a Brownsville native, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and a Licensed Behavior Analyst in Texas, with more than 7 years in this field. I earned my Bachelor’s in Education and my Master’s in Educational Psychology, with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis, both at Baylor University.
As a former Clinical Director, I’ve worked with children and families across clinical, school, home, and community settings. After 11 years away, I moved back to Brownsville to bring that same hands-on, parent-centered support directly to families across the Rio Grande Valley, walking alongside them as they build lasting change in the community I call home.
