The Story Behind the Name
At my first job as a BCBA, I worked with “the littles,” toddlers who were just learning to talk. They couldn’t quite manage “Sofia,” so it came out “Fia.” The name stuck, first with the kids, then with their families, then with the whole clinic. Years later, when it came time to put a name on a practice built around meeting people exactly where they are, there was only one that fit.
About Sofia
I’m a Brownsville native, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and a Licensed Behavior Analyst in Texas, with more than 7 years in this field. I earned my Bachelor’s in Education and my Master’s in Educational Psychology, with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis, both at Baylor University.
As a former Clinical Director, I’ve worked with children and families across clinical, school, home, and community settings, bringing the same care and expertise to every one of them.
After 11 years away, I moved back to Brownsville to open this practice. I wanted to bring the same hands-on, parent-centered support I built my career on directly to families across the Rio Grande Valley.
I’ve dedicated my career to walking alongside families as they build lasting change, celebrating every win along the way, and serving the community I call home.
